‘No way back’ for Ronaldo as Man United star following previous Ten Hag decision

Marcel Van der Kraan believes that there’s ‘no way’ Erik ten Hag will have Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United following a similar incident.

The Dutch football expert was discussing Ten Hag’s track record with players following the Portuguese star’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV in which he slated the Glazer family, Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, plus the head coach himself.

Ten Hag has already proved that he doesn’t suffer fools gladly, with Dutch football expert Van der Kraan recalling an incident at Ajax in which Ten Hag took a firm approach with wonderkid Noa Lang.

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, Van der Kraan said: “He had a similar situation, but not quite, at Ajax.

Noa Lang is a Dutch international who has just landed in Doha with the Dutch squad and had a bit of stardom around him, giving him a big mouth and seeking confrontations on the pitch.

“That was all visible. Most of the things here [with Ronaldo] have happened on the training ground or away from everybody apart from the incidents where Ronaldo walked away into the tunnel and left the team.

“When he clashed with Noa Lang, Ten Hag showed that he was really confrontational with him and also showed that he was prepared to forget it, work with him again until there was a moment in the winter break where they said ‘we have to do something here’.
