Manchester United shirt sponsor ‘close to pulling out of £235m deal’, it’s a major blow

TeamViewer are under increasing pressure to pull out of their shirt sponsorship deal with Manchester United, according to reports.

United agreed a £235 million, five-year deal with the global technology company in March 2021, with the partnership beginning from the 2021/22 season.

TeamViewer also signed a partnership with the Mercedes F1 team in May 2021, with the company’s logo featured on the cars of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, as well as the Mercedes Formula E cars.

TeamViewer are the principal shirt sponsor of United, with the logo adorning the Red Devils’ home, away and third kits.

Speaking after the deal was announced, TeamViewer chief executive Oliver Steil said: “We are very excited about this partnership, as it will significantly expand our brand positioning and it will help us to market our comprehensive solutions portfolio to all customer segments globally.
