Man Utd player ruled out for ‘four to five weeks’ with thigh injury

Manchester United’s on-loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been ruled out for “four to five weeks” with a thigh injury.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has confirmed the 25-year-old is set to be sidelined.

The United loanee reported suffering a grade two tear in his thigh during Forest’s win against Leicester at the weekend, which usually results in an injury layoff between four to six weeks.

The loss comes as a huge blow to Forest, with Henderson having become an integral part of the first team.

Second-choice Wayne Hennessey will start the club’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Saturday. However, Forest could also turn to the transfer window in the medium term.

It is certainly a discussion point,” said manager Steve Cooper.

“We have two League Cup games (against Manchester United) that Dean wouldn’t have played in any way because of the loan ruling so we were always planning without him for those games
