Declan Rice explains what Manchester United star Marcus Rashford does better than any other England player

England midfielder Declan Rice admits he is dazzled by some of the “mad stuff” Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford can do with the ball in training.

Rashford has returned to top form at Old Trafford this season and he scored from the bench when England begun their World Cup charge with an eye-catching win against Iran on Monday night. He needed less than a minute to make his mark at the Khalifa International Stadium courtesy of a trademark run and finish.

Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka (two), Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish grabbed the other goals in a 6-2 and England are currently in action against the United States in their second group game.

Gareth Southgate has several attacking options at his disposal and named Rashford in the squad after his return to form at United this season. He scored eight goals and provided three assists in 19 outings before the World Cup and has already underlined that redemption on the biggest stage.

Such is the depth in quality, catching the eye in England training must nearly be as difficult as breaking into the side. However, according to former United target Rice – who was pursued by the club before Erik ten Hag was appointed manager – Rashford has done exactly that with his fleet-footed trickery.
