Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction spotted as Ghana’s Osman Bukari copies famous celebration

Cristiano Ronaldo could scarcely believe it when Ghana threatened an unlikely comeback just moments after he was taken off in a thrilling World Cup clash at Stadium 974.

Portugal skipper Ronaldo had become the first player to score in five different World Cups when he netted a controversial penalty in the 65th minute – with the kick awarded after Ronaldo had been judged to have been tripped by Southamptondefender Mohamed Salisu.

The 37-year-old – who this week left Manchester United when his contract was terminated by mutual consent – fired his penalty down the middle of the goal to give Portugal the lead and spark a remarkable final half an hour of the match.

Ghana levelled the scored when the former Swansea and West Ham forward Andre Ayew tapped in from close range, only for a superb Bruno Fernandes through ball to find Joao Felix who clipped home to make it 2-1.

Substitute Rafael Leao – who had only come on just moments earlier soon made it 3-1 with a fine finish into the far corner, but Ghana refused to lie down.

With Ronaldo substituted in the 88th minute to a standing ovation, the 2016 European Champions conceded again when Ghana sub Osman Bukari nodded home at the far post.
