Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex Manchester United teammate makes admission over Al Nassr transfer

Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate Wes Brown has claimed that the clubs the Portuguese international wanted to join did not bid for him following Old Trafford departure.

Ronaldo left United in November after taking part in a controversial interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV. During the conversation, the 37-year-old took aim at the club, Erik ten Hag, the Glazers and former teammates Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney who he had deemed to have unfairly criticised him.

Post-interview, the Reds came to the decision to part ways with Ronaldo before his contract expired at the end of the campaign. This decision led to the Portuguese star being the only free agent at the World Cup in Qatar.
